One of the last things I “ditched and switched” is my dry shampoo. The convenience of a spray was just fabulous but when I glanced at some of the ingredients and the side effects on the THINK DIRTY app, I knew I needed to start making the switch.
If you don’t have that APP, download it ASAP. It is mind blowing what our beauty products have in them.
I was super hesitant to try it because like non-toxic deodorant, I wasn’t sure it would be long lasting like the shelf product.
I’m here to say that after two months of using it, my scalp is healthier and I can skip washings just as frequently. The fun part is mixing and matching new blends with different oils.
I use an old glass seasoning shaker and a makeup brush to blend it in, sections of my hair at a time. I usually do this before I go to bed so that in the morning I can scrub my scalp a little with my fingers, brush, style and GO. You can also use a round brush and give yourself a blowout for extra volume. I’m alway a fan of big hair. It’s the Dolly Parton lover in me.
Here’s to hoping you don’t have to wash your hair today.
